Their relevance can hardly be overestimated: one cannot do without them when creating high-power semiconductor lasers, optical information input systems, optical quantum amplifiers, efficient semiconductor photodetectors, solar cells, and active light guides. Coated optical products are widely used in laser, medical, aviation and special equipment. Clotho offers antireflection (AR) and protective diamond-like carbon (DLC) coatings which are especially widespread in optics industry. We are ready to create customized solutions with applying these coatings on different forms of lenses in order to meet clients’ requests.

AR coating
Antireflection coating is necessary for optical components that require low residual reflection and high transmittance for a specific wavelength or range of wavelengths.
DLC coating
This coating is most often used on the outer surfaces of silicon and germanium optics of thermal imagers put in military equipment and/or operating in extreme climatic conditions. DLC protects external optical surfaces from the abrasive effects of airborne dust particles, sea water and salt, engine oil and fuel, high humidity, abuse, and more. DLC coating is considered as the most solid optical coating.
